We are getting ready for a birthday around here. I keep trying to tell myself not to stress out over things. I have a habit of wanting things to be perfect. If I could just remind myself that in my daughters eyes it will be perfect no matter what I do. It is so easy to get carried away. Hoping that each year will be easier...

I might just have to keep posting as it seems that is the only thing I can really accomplish. Plus I love sharing our fun stories with all of you. Today was just one of those days...It was wonderful. In between our day today...I went to pick up the trash can from the front yard. I came back around with Madison holding something... as I got closer I knew exactly what it was...

"POOP MOMMY" "POOP MOMMY" No it wasn't hers it was the dogs! I think I would of been kinda happy if it was hers only because we are working on potty training around here. But nope it was our dogs! She knows I usually go and pick it up and she was just beating me to it! I wish I could of captured it on the camera as she was so proud!

It has been awhile since my last post. I have to be honest and say that I am thinking about stopping this and just focusing on my scrapbooking. I enjoy doing both but feel that she doesn't need to have her life posted somewhere on this world wide web. So I will be closing this blog soon and can email everyone pictures and updates if you would like. Just let me know. Here are some last pictures for you all until I get my emails started.

locked out...

I must be the worst mother ever! I really felt like it today. Madison was happily playing in her toyroom so I decided to run out to put something in the mailbox (about 30 feet away). As I left..this little girl shut the door and turned the deadbolt on me. I was locked out! Not a single way in this house. Luckily my neighbor was outside and he called the locksmith. It was the longest 30 minute wait for him to come to let me in. Madison was really good being in the house alone for almost 45 minutes. She stayed right by the window playing peek a boo with me. She did manage to knock down two plants and she took my ceramic piece and held it in front of the me in the window. She just smiled! I learned something today.... don't underestimate a 21 month old! Are these the simple moments that I will remember???

Madison has endured her first bite by her friend. They were both trying to play with the same toy and well...she was bitten. The joys of being two year olds! (well..almost two) It didn't leave a bruise but it sure shocked her and her cry. This week Madison has been hit and bitten. It hasn't been a good week for her playing with her friends. This next week will be much better.

Derby Tea Party!

It is Derby day around here and we just enjoyed our first Derby Tea Party! We both enjoyed dressing up and putting on our pretty hats!

Today was a great day. We enjoyed every little bit of it outside playing. The sun felt so good. Madison enjoyed playing with her friends this morning and with mom this afternoon. She would still be out there if the sun was still up.

busy days..

It has been busy around here between the zoo, playgroup, building the sandbox and playing at SIGS (a gymnastics gym). We went to SIGS today for the first time. This little girl did not stop for an hour. She was moving the whole time. It wore me out!! We had fun and I was able to catch a few photos. Here are some of our last couple of days.

Caught her during naptime...she spent 2 hours in her room just enjoying herself reading. Needless to say a nap did not occur this day.... You'd think all that reading would tire her out.

It turns out the last couple of sleepless nights and little to no naps during the day are due to cutting teeth. She's doing really well. Playing and enjoying her new friends.

Spent the rest of the day today outside enjoying the weather. I then enjoyed the evening out with some friends for a baby shower. I enjoyed eating out AND getting a pedicure! It is when you get to get out that you realize how much you miss it. It was heaven. What a wonderful way to start the weekend. Here are some photos from the last couple of days.
