It has been quiet around here lately. We are enjoying each day with lots of laughs and giggles.

Tea time with friends

This little girl is enjoying her teddy bears and baby Tad so much that there isn't a day that goes by that I don't catch her sitting and playing with them. This picture is of her with baby Tad having tea. She has started to try to feed them. She also tries to give our dog her milk and shares her cookies. I too catch our dog playing with baby Tad! Like today we were all in the kitchen and all of a sudden baby Tad started talking and here was our dog playing with it! It is never a dull moment around here.

Here are some pictures from today. We didn't do much but sure had a lot of laughs. I now watch little clips from the disney website instead of my martha stewart website. I am sad to say I find it more enjoyable. (We like Breakfast with Bear.) For those that haven't seen it it is a big brown bear that has breakfast with 5 year olds. He sings songs about getting ready in the morning (like brushing teeth and putting on clothes) however the only part of the song I remember is...pick out your shirt, pick out your pants, but don't pick your nose... I find myself singing this song during the day.
It has been a trying 24 hours as yesturday we lost all of our pictures as we were trying to fix the computer. I now recommend everyone copy all pictures to a CD. It is not a fun thing to experience. ( I did have a CD of some recent pictures) Thankfully. So I might be going overboard with pictures the next couple of days. Enjoy!

Daddy's little girl...

Just a daughter and her Daddy. The beginnings of a lifetime relationship. A princess and her protector. The thought of how no boy will ever be good enough for her. The way he holds her close and talks to her - and how she gazes up at him, and hangs on his every word. Someday there will be other boys, but for now she is content to be in love with her Daddy.

There is something about a father and his daughter. She is now 13 months old and lights up when her dad is around. She wants every little minute of his time she can get. I love the way she looks at him when he is not looking. I love the way she wants to sit in his lap every chance she gets. I love the way she blows him kisses when he leaves for work or the way she lights up when he comes home from a long day. Daddy's little girl...

We went to the zoo today and had so much fun. Something about the zoo brings out the kid in all of us.

life lessons

I often find myself creating a big list of TO-DO projects. I usually get up in the morning all excited about what I'm going to accomplish that day. I am eager to get going and get all caught up in the how's and what's next. It is all done of course in my head and it usually starts with one little thing like changing the sheets which then, of course, leads to buying new sheets... to painting the bedroom... to getting new furniture... to moving furniture around then it leads to the bathroom (because we all know it has to match) and then that leads to much much more... then I am reminded by a smiling little girl (as she brings me a book and trys to get up on my lap) that none of this really matters. You see I began this journey thinking that my husband and I were the teachers in raising our daughter but she has taught me so much. When one looks back on life they don't think about what their house looked like or what they had, they remember moments spent with each other. It is the memories that we create together that we truly remember and mean the most in life. Thank you for coming into my life...



Someone once said to me...

though years are filled with working and cooking, children grow up while were not looking...


I hope that she can look back on today and remember that mom took time out to play (after all isn't that what really matters).

fun in the backyard

We tried to go to the local water park today and to our surprise it was closed. So we did the next best thing! We went to Dairy Queen and shared a hot fudge sundae! We then brought the fun to our house by buying our own pool. It was just as fun and maybe even more. We enjoyed being silly splashing each other. It is the simple things in life that makes life so enjoyable...
