8 months....32 weeks

Well...it has started...the unsolicited comments on my pregnancy begin. Today I got up for church feeling good. Put on a pretty dress, got a nice comment from my husband AND daughter on how nice I looked. Then...I wasn't even 5 feet inside church and a lady came up to me that I barely know and said "You look bigger today than yesterday." Huh....how does one respond to that. I am sure she meant well but really how does one respond to that...ahh yes..."You look bigger too" that is what I was really thinking but nope I just smiled politely. Why is it...it is women that feel they need to respond on someone's size. We have all been then and know it is no fun getting bigger even though we know it is for a wonderful miracle to have a baby but yet we find great pleasure telling people that they are getting big or wearing fat jeans or all the other things to do with weight. Instead can't we as women just say something nice maybe about the clothes and leave weight/size out of the conversation??

Really...women are our own worst enemies in weight. Please just remember if you can't say anything nice DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL!!

"Would I ever!"

Madison's new saying now is "would I ever!" I ask her anything and if she wants to do it she will say "would I ever!" instead of yes. It is so cute. She seems to put so much excitement behind it.

We have been busy around here lately. Here are some pictures from recent things we have done. (built a swing set this past weekend which took 2 full days, went to the zoo)
When we went to the zoo they show this bird show that we just love and try to never miss. This time she waited patiently after the show to ask a question...she was the smallest one around and she kept her little hand up and simply said.."uhm...my I have a dog named Sydney and she runs fast." It was so cute... she was so proud...

Last night we went into the city and enjoyed some Hot Lips Pizza with homemade blackberry soda. It was true Portland. Everything organically made. Then we walked around the Pearl District and enjoyed the nice weather. I knew it was bedtime when Madison said to me...can we go home and...get our pajamas on, brush our teeth, read 3 books, tell a story, and turn off the light and go to sleep! (no routine here!)

Going to try to relax this weekend..

It just needs something more mom!!

I am tired today...it has really hit me today...

Madison came out to me in the kitchen and said look...she had red chapstick? all over her lips/mouth. I went into her room to find that she had taken the bathtub crayons out of the tub and drew on her newly painted Tinkerbell....AGHHHH!! I remained calm and asked her why? She simply said that she was drawing Captain Hook's pirate ship...my little girl...

I was in too much shock to even think about a picture of it. I just simply wiped it off the best I could. I guess my painting needed something else with it....according to Madison....Captain Hook's pirate ship.

Cleaned a little today and went to the park...beautiful outside!

Well...I am getting my to do list started and trying to get things done before this baby comes. Today I completed Madison's painting on her wall. I have some glitter to add to the wings and highlights to add to Tinkerbell's hair but I like to think I am done...now on to the next project!

zoo day

First thing this morning I was asked...

"I wonder what the lions eat? "

I'm not sure...

"Can we go there today? Does that work with your plans today mom?"

Yes, we can go...I can still walk without waddling...

So we got dressed and headed to the zoo today. We had a great day! It was truly a zoo...very busy! So many kids...all bused in from schools. We still managed to have a great time! Never got to see the lions yet as they didn't have there new area open yet...probably next week!

30 weeks

Everything came back normal. I can continue to have my chocolate at times. I am still going to try to eat well but relieved I can continue to eat normally. I like my fruit and bread.
(7 1/2 months) 30 weeks today! Kinda scary that there is only 10 weeks left but then again kinda exciting. I need a couple of things before I feel ready....

I am painting the baby's room with flowers. It is looking good. Also painting Tinkerbell on Madison's wall...it looks great! She got to pick anything and she choose Tinkerbell...I hope she will continue to enjoy it for a couple of years. I will take pictures when I get done.

Today has been a treat...I slept well. Madison slept all night. A full night's sleep is SO nice! And now I have my decaf coffee and going to watch my one gardening show while she is still sleeping...this is going to be a GREAT day!

Done with blood draws!!

(another cute photo from kayaking trip...Madison with her friend Lilly)

I made it....after 4 blood draw pokes and fasting for 14 hours...it is over...
I have had 6 blood draws in the last week and a half...I am done..(hopefully) my arms look like a war zone. There is one lady there that always makes me bruise each time I have gone in...so today I finally spoke up...I still clenched my teeth when she did it today.
Hopefully good news will come from all this poking tomorrow..

Oh! I didn't have any problem eating a cheese burger and shake after it was all over...the little baby seemed to love it too!

We go tonight as a family for our hospital tour...looking forward to it!
Well..I am off today to go get my sugar levels tested again. I failed the first test and now have been fasting for 10 hours and must go for a 3 hour test. I am so not looking forward to this.

Friday Madison and I took a tour through the wildlife refuge via car.

My mother's day was simply wonderful! We started it off on Saturday by enjoying a day out together kayaking! It was great!! I was then treated to a wonderful meal made by my wonderful husband. Baked salmon with fresh veg. It was better than I have had it in restaurants. He is truly a great cook that I have been enjoying some really good meals lately. Sunday I got breakfast also made for me! It was a wonderful day.
Here are some pictures from our kayaking trip. We took a 8mile trip. It was 4 miles into the National Wildlife Refuge to a beach then back. Madison did GREAT! She really loved exploring at the beach. We are looking forward to doing it again.
Hopefully before this next little one comes. I am 7 months pregnant now.
