I often find myself creating a big list of TO-DO projects. I usually get up in the morning all excited about what I'm going to accomplish that day. I am eager to get going and get all caught up in the how's and what's next. It is all done of course in my head and it usually starts with one little thing like changing the sheets which then, of course, leads to buying new sheets... to painting the bedroom... to getting new furniture... to moving furniture around then it leads to the bathroom (because we all know it has to match) and then that leads to much much more... then I am reminded by a smiling little girl (as she brings me a book and trys to get up on my lap) that none of this really matters. You see I began this journey thinking that my husband and I were the teachers in raising our daughter but she has taught me so much. When one looks back on life they don't think about what their house looked like or what they had, they remember moments spent with each other.
It is the memories that we create together that we truly remember and mean the most in life. Thank you for coming into my life...

Someone once said to me...
though years are filled with working and cooking, children grow up while were not looking...
I hope that she can look back on today and remember that mom took time out to play (after all isn't that what really matters).
