It has been a while since my last post...here's what we are all up too around here!
First with Isabelle...she is so enjoying her big sister. She looks up to her already and is trying to do everything her sister is doing. She is now up on all fours but not crawling yet...close though. She is army crawling everywhere! She is eating all the time (solids and milk)! She is going from stomach to sitting but can't sit up long yet. She says mama all the time. My two others around here are racing to get Isabelle to say there name first...which will it be?? Dada or Maddy?? They both work hard with her to get her to say their name...Isabelle just laughs at them.
Madison is doing GREAT! She so loves being a big sister...I never really thought it would be this great! She is anxiously waiting for Isabelle to crawl and play with her! Madison is loving school and starting to really sound out words. She had the fireman come visit her at school this week. She was excited. She continues to be social and loves playing with her friends. I often have an extra girl around. She said the other day that she wanted her friend Samuel to come play...well let's just say Dad still is thinking about this one! She seems to be all better from her ER visit recently. We did keep her home from school on Friday as she seemed to have a slight temp Thursday night but she is fine now. (little cough) It hasn't stopped her. We have started her in swimming classes. She really seems to enjoy this and is getting good.
I am starting to run...yeah run. I was told by my friends recently I wasn't going at a fast enough speed so now I am going at their lighting speed and doing fine. I am up to 4 miles! I am starting to enjoy the "my time" I will run my first race either 5k or 8k on March 14th. That is my goal right now. I would ultimately like to run a half-marathon but I am trying to set small goals that I know I will accomplish. Dave reminds me...small steps! I am truly glad I can do 4 miles...next week 5 miles!! I am still LOVING being able to stay home with my girls! It is a sacrifice at times and at times it is rough but it is truly worth it everyday. They are growing up so fast....
Dave is doing well. He is enjoying his job. It is nice he works from home. He is very dedicated. He inspires me. He is training to run the Portland marathon this year and Hood to Coast again in July. Today he ran 8 miles...wow! Truly inspiring his drive and dedication. He is currently taking an ICE bath...yeah...he is sitting in the bathtub super cold bath with ice cubes in it. Madison helped him out by adding more ice cubes...he graciously told her he had enough...
I wanted to take a picture of him (he is fully clothed with a towel wrapped around him..like that will help keep him warm) but he sad no. Maybe next time....
