Madison and her new bed.... only 17 months old!!!
Mommy trying so hard to convince her stay little and keep the railings on her crib. ( As you can see I really am not thrilled about this whole thing) Really...What happened to my little girl?
Daddy taking off the crib rail.
Discovering the new bed...It has been an emotional journey around here lately. We no longer have a need for a crib or a highchair. Thats right.... We went from putting Madison in daycare during church (which seemed like the hardest thing for me since no one has watched Madison except family and that is very rare) to her refusing her highchair and wanting to sit at the table to her climbing out of her crib (twice) and climbing down the stairs! To top this all off we can no longer go out in public as she does not understand the word quiet yet. She has also realized that crayons can be used on walls. She also has started to show us that she is independent. (I think tantrums is the word) This was all very hard for me to take. It has been an exciting year for us. It was only 1 year ago that she let me rock her. Now she doesn't even want to sit on my lap long enough to read a book. Boy do I miss that. (Since we often read books 3 times a day) When people said to me that time goes by fast...I really didn't think much about it as the first year seemed slow but my they are so right. It sure has been a great year and even with these new changes I look forward to each and every day with her. Thank you Madison for keeping me on my toes...
